Just had to share. I went to Publix to get 5lb or sugar. Guess who greeted me at the door. The most beautiful Chelsea, did I snatch it up, yes. It is so full an absolutely beautiful. I have the hoya have-to-haves bad. Oh, I almost forgot the sugar. Have a great day guys.

Your funny John... (smile) As long as your having fun - thats all that counts! (Its really just a disease that gets worse and worse with time - lol

You'll know you have it really bad when your debating between buying the hoya or the sugar or the diapers or a new house because yours is too small for your hoya collection!

I totally agree. I had to add a shelf in my lanai and a six foot hanging rack outside only yesterday. I am a plant addict. All the Publix here carry some hoyas from time to time so sometimes I do a Publix run. Getting ready to send Joni an order also. Got to find some pill for this addiction, maybe a provado, just kidding. Found out from Brian the garden manager at Lowes, that I missed a big flower show at the mall, so sad. He said they had lots of hoyas, already on my calender for next year. A trip to USF Botannical gardens is planned. You guys have a great day.

    John,

I just found a big 'Chelsea' at Walmart, too. I have a small one that has struggled for me, so I was thrilled to find a nice, big healthy one. (Obviously, they hadn't had it too long!) It's especially exciting when you just "bump into" a Hoya while not even looking for one!

So glad you're having fun, John. It's great having the energy influx of someone newly impassioned on the boards. I have to say if I found a chelsea like that I'd be pretty tempted, even though I already have a nice healthy plant from a trade. It is so cute!!

I only found non-variegated carnosa, some KQ, KP and a non-variegated compacta at the (Dodge) Lowes I was at last night. But I was entertained to see they had hooped offerings as well as basketed ones.

I placed an Aleya order last night and I'm stalking Joni again. I know I got a reminder notification of one of the plants I was interested in the other day... I have to admit I rather like these little pots she's transitioning to. I thought I was going to hate it because it would throw off my matchy matchy flat system, but it actually works well since I need to maximize my grow space too LOL. Doesn't hurt that they're so adorable, either.

I got the healthiest looking campanulata. *whistles* If I kill this guy, it will be entirely my fault. Gorgeous! I'll have to post some pictures. It's been a while since I shared a new plants post with you guys.

    Maybe this will help.

The picture will actually display as it will be seen by others, on the preview page, if you have it right.

John, if you find good treatment for hoya fever let me know ;)
Went to Lowes today searching for Adeniums and EA hoyas and saw huge H.heuschkeliana it was way bigger than two I got from Joni this winter but I managed to walk away, so proud of myself! What I need is curtisii or multiflora or any other I don't have, not what I own already... It's so hard to leave Hoya behind! Got 15 feet of chain to give my carnosa support before it grows all over my other hoyas! Summer is here in S. Florida; saw tiny penducles on carnosa, obovata and Mathilde!

    Happy Aggie.

Don't have a cure. Me and my granddaughter, who is 25 went to Walmart yesterday, just to look. I saw a Bilobato in a 2.5 pot, never seen one there before that size, of course I already have a large one. Just could not leave the little fellow there he was so pitiful. I brought him home. He is now on the lanai with some I am rooting. She is into Fuchsia's, we both are a big mess with plants. I counted today and I have 43 just on the lanai. I have several desert roses, some I grew from seeds, as well as who knows what is out there, I just water and go on.
It's really bad getting ready to do an order with Joni; Need help
