Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Ulster County Master Gardener Program has offered a series of classes "Get ready for spring". I attended the first class in the series this past Thur evening in Kingston. It was a 2 hr lecture by Lee Reich, "Growing delicious fruit without pesticides" My goal was the learn how to prune raspberries..I came away with the information and a lot more as well. It was more than worth the $15 fee.
Next class is "New and interesting Perennials and annuals"
on Feb 22, "Rock gardens" on March 8, and "Lawns & Meadows: An Ecological Perspective" on March 22. Apparently all class still have space. Some info is on their website http://counties.cce.cornell.edu/Ulster/
or you could call 845 340-3990
