Help...Which One Do You Choose?

I want to get a big, very showy 'glowing' Hosta. How about either Journey's End or Stained Glass? Which one would you choose?

Also want a green speckled hosta. Would you get Revolution or its sport, Independence? Are there any other big hosta like these?

TIA

I just added Journey's End. It is doing fine so far, but it hasn't colored up yet. I have a Stained Glass, but I think I got a dud. It nearly died last year. I like all those plantaginea sports so I will replace it if it doesn't take off this year. Tortilla Chip has really grown for me. I just walked out to see which of mine glow, and right now Golden Sculpture and Piedmont Gold are sure pretty. You have got to have a Sum and Substance if you want big and showy. Mine is finally getting some size, and I love it. If you want speckled, Revolution has them, but it isn't a great grower for me. I can't think of a big speckled off hand.
Nice to see another Texas hosta grower.

Well.I'm not from Texas, but Independence grows a lot better for me. It has more green in the leaves than Revolution does. Stained Glass grows very well, but the last 2 years we have had late spring freezes which has set it back a little, but it still looks pretty good. I have a sport of S&S called Parhelion, which is going to be a monster this year. Just a few thoughts. Phil

I just bought Orange Marmalade...it's a one eyed baby but I think it's going to be big ( not like S and S but big like Antioch) and it certainly is glowing and flashy.
But I don't know the parentage.
How about Liberty? I hear that gets big...

Orange Marmalade is indeed lovely, but I think it may be slower growing. Stained Glass is increasing nicely for me, but the real standout in my garden is good old Sagae. Easily found at many nurseries it is just an eyecatcher in my garden!

    and Liberty

    Others you might consider....

    Beautiful pics!

I have the sagae (never knew the name) that I bought at the local nursery. It did not have a tag and I asked the sales lady the name and she didn't know.I did not care because it is so pretty.

It is very showy in the garden and it grows fast!I have took cuttings and placed in several places.I love that hosta!

Thank you all for the great suggestions. Hi Mary, glad to meet you too! I am in north Texas. I just started Hostas last year and am thrilled that they all came back. Caliloo, your photos are fantastic....thanks for sharing. And Linda, I have Orange Marmalade and love it! I think it really glows..even in deep shade. I believe it's a sport of Paul's Glory.
And Phil, am wanting Independence for sure. I think most people like it better than Revolution.
