I just built a house in Sullivan county. I have a couple of questions. I cleaned out a spot for my garden and I have very rocky and clay like soil. I ordered some topsoil for my entire 1/2 acre of lawn that so far I've been fairly successful at growing grass on. Should I put the topsoil into the garden area now (early Sept) and if so what could I grow for vegetables? OR, should I leave it alone and then put the topsoil down in April and mix it all up then and then plant the summer garden? Thanks!
