Clematis

I'm beginning to wonder if I need to continue to take up valuable garden space with clematis since they don't seem to have much wildlife value. The ones in my garden right now are C. durandii, Moonlight, Polish Spirit, Rosemoor and Wisley.

When cutting back the very dense Polish Spirit growing on an obelisk trellis, I found a bird nest inside. I guess that's a reason to keep that particular one since it provides good cover for nesting. The others are rather sparse and grow on flat trellises. While they are all very pretty, they don't seem to attract anything. Am I mistaken in my thinking?

Maybe C. pitcheri should come live here, though.

Any thoughts?
