Sorry but that feeder would not last full at my house about 15 minuts maybe.. I have to put up the feeders that have the qt size jar and thats almost emepty by the time I get home daily. I had 3 of the jar feeders last year and I probably went through 50 to 55 pounds of sugar feeding the hummers that visisted my house last year. I have very few blooming flowers but had hummers all summer. I make their juice up using the 6 to 3 formula, seems to work for me and my hummers.

I have several saucer feeders that I use. I am able to spread them around and have hummers just about anyplace I want to watch them. I also have a couple of larger size bottle feeders. I like the saucers for ease of cleaning and no problems with bees

I have found an easy way to clean my glass bottle feeders and this may sound strange but it works and I have done it this way for years is I place a hand full of nuts, yes the kind that fit onto a bolt into the glass bottle and swish them around and around and they clean the inside of the bottle great. Strange but it works. The size nuts to use is as long as it fits into the opening on the glass bottle then it will work. I keep a small cup of about 8 nuts in the kitchen window sil for cleaning the feeders. Sandy

Sandy I wish I had the number of hummers visiting my feeders that you do. I do have lots of flowers planted for them and the little guys seem to really enjoy those.

I have the window feeder version of that feeder - I love it and so do my hummers. In fact, they used that one most last summer (next to the salvia and other plants).
