Fortunate, lucky, whatever----because three of these little guys have never left my back yard!

I can set my watch according to the time they get here first thing in the morning and again, set the watch to the last time they feed in the evening.

Talk about creatures of habit --- those little guys must have internal clocks!

I'm rather new to this Hummer Fascination so I've read all these posts going back 34 pages over the last several months (and reread several pages again and again) and the information I've gathered, without having to leave this site/topic is worth it's weight in gold ---

So THANK YOU EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU that takes the time to respond to questions, post beautiful photos and give wonderful advice freely. It's appreciated more than you know!

I have been working daily, diligently (read: Patience!), to earn the trust of my 3 hummers.

Yesterday my efforts paid off as "The Bishop" as my husband has named him (because Bishop rules the back yard-- 'All this juice is mine, mine, mine and I'm not sharing!!!' )

Yesterday as I was pulling some yellowed leaves from my Dwarf Lemon tree, Bishop came right up, fluttered inches over my head, turned sideways to survey the situation and then to my complete suprise, perched right on his feeder---I was about six inches away!

He did glance at me a few times while he was sipping, as if wondering if trusting me was a good idea.

To say I got goose bumps is an understatement!

I tried telling both my neighbors and they look at me like "And?" They just don't get it.

But I knew posting this event here, you all would understand.
