New to the area (SE Alabama)

I just moved to the area a few weeks ago. I have been hunting for a nursery that sells lots of hummingbird and butterfly plants. Does anyone know where I can go? I went to a place last week and the guy kind of looked at me strange as I asked for different plants. Thanks for your help! Also, what grows well in the clay soil here...is it difficult to grow in this soil?

    Plants are way cheaper online. Some good online nurseries include mail order natives and almost eden. For starters some of the best plants for your area include black and blue salvia, coral honeysuckle, trumpet creeper,crocosmia,red hot pokers and firebush.

    You'll need to amend your clay soil with lots of compost/organic matter.
