WOW! I'm worried about my milkweed and we only had a light dusting of snow. It just baffles my mind that your Snapdragons could still have gree leaves in your zone. I guess the snow insulates them. Somebody informed me of that when I was concerned about the snow on our lemon trees.

I'm happy for you. Unfortunately, I can't offer any tips. However, there is one thing that we both share...I too, can't wait for the hummers to arrive.

That's amazing, but no clue what to do. Last year my salvia came back. Not suppose to happen in zone 6. I couldn't believe how much bigger they got than the new plants I planted. Hope they come back this year. Good luck with your snap dragons.

I have 2 snapdragons that have come back now for 4 yrs. They are planted in a bed next to the house and they resprout from the root. The root has gotten so big on these plants that I can't even dig them up.

Leave them alone until they start putting out new growth and then you can cut the old stalks down. BTW, I am in western NY, 12 miles from Niagara Falls and the Canadian border.

Wow! are you talking about regular old annual snap draggons. I just planted some around a tree and was worried they wouldn't make it through summer and certainly not the winter.

My snaps are just plain old garden variety snapdragons that I just can't seem to kill no matter what i do to them as long as they are in soil with fairly good drainage. Mine are growing in a bed where I had amended the clay with lots of compost and mulch a few years ago but nothing since.
