I know what you mean. I have had mine up for a few days here in CT. and keep looking. But I have not seen the hummers yet.. Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!

They are also within a few miles of my house but not at my feeders yet. i am keeping my fingers crossed for this week end and if so then it will be the earliest arrival time by 5-6 days.

We just a dot last weekend and I think I saw one flyby here. We're in the valley, so they arrive here later than other areas in Virginia. I had a dream about a flock of them at my feeders last night...does that count? :o)

My first one showed up in MO on April 16th. I was thrilled! I just saw the female yesterday..

I was outside in the yard all weekend and did not see one. With all the red plants blooming, plus a giant honeysuckle, I was hoping. Lots of small webs in the Alberta Spruce too. I think it was late May last year when I first noticed them. Earliest was at the spruce.

I sighted two this afternoon here in southwestern PA. I just made nectar and will put out two feeders in the morning. Seeing them buzzing around made me smile! I was surprised to see them sipping nectar from Centaurea montana, a blue flower that I curse so often because it self seeds everywhere in my garden. I had no idea the hummers liked it.
