Wow! You've gone from anxious to overjoyed in one day--an accomplishment. Hummingbirds'll do that to you. I'm not so jealous that I can't be happy for you, so I offer hearty congratulations to you and your hubby.

Meanwhile, I'm still in anxious waiting mode. Last year my first male showed up on May 2nd, and fed from my Bleeding Hearts. This year, that same plant has well-developed buds, but no blooms just yet. I think they'll be fully opened in a couple days. The columbines are also sending up flower scapes and will be soon to follow. I'm thinking and hoping those little guys will show up some time in the next week when these flowers start to bloom.

If they showed up today, in addition to three small feeders, I've got a potted "Red Prince" Weigela in full bloom, and some interesting flowers called Plectranthus "Mona Lavender" that are known to attract hummingbirds. So, whenever they show up, I'm ready!

Please let it be soon. I don't know how much more of this waiting I can stand.
