Congrats on your first hummer!! So where exactly are you - IM martinsville had my first on april 29, being seeing them very spotty since then.

Hi, there! I'm located in Frankfort, north of Indpls. Not too far from you I guess.

We our in Montgomery county (crawfordsville) and had our first hummer on april 29th at 540pm. We seem to have a regular male visitor and a female visitor. I wish i could figure out where their nest is if they are building one. I have two feeders which they visit, and two weigalias that is in bloom, which I have not seen them visit.
Today I put up 4 hanging baskets with petunias and coral bells, some impatiants and salvias, and a foxglove.
I hope the activity picks up in a few weeks.

Good to hear from you Civicminded! You are real close to me too! I have only seen the one male and he is a very busy fellow. Have petunias now blooming so hope to see more come in. Have four feeders throughout our yard plus many flowers. I just love them!

I have three weigela in bloom and a goldflame in full bloom and as far as I know they havent touched them, just seem to be feeder junkies here.

I was getting worried, but I'm now seeing them regularly! I'm northwest of Indy in Zionsville.
