Hi all,

I thought it would be fun to estimate the amount this season only (Spring till now in my case) we have spent on Hoyas and Dischidias.

I'll go first,,,$1,000.00. *gasp*

My husband would faint I guarantee you! hahaha.,,,,Debbie

**Whistle!!** You must be rollin' in dough, Debi! I'm probably in the $325 range, but I sold over $200 worth of plants at our cactus show & sale, and I just sold some more (probably $75 or so) at our auction, so I'm not feelin' too guilty. Hubby just got laid off, so I'm watching my P's & Q's now!

Well, I was surprised that I only spent $600.00. Can't figure where the rest went, haha!

Denise Hoya's and Dischidias to me are like Lay's potato chips,,,hard to buy just one! haha. I'm lucky in that my husband makes a nice living for us and my house is paid for.

Hey Russell! Nice to see you posting! What did you think of today's temps? I checked online and my town was 95 with a heat index of 105 after the rain shower we got. Normally heat index is only a couple degrees difference. 10 degrees shocked me!,,,,Debbie

Hey, Debbie, truthfully, zip, nada, do dah.
Most folks don't know I have started my own jewelry 'line' and have been producing earrings, bracelets and a necklace or two.

You want to talk $ spent on beads, we are likely equal if you extend my spending period back to September of last year. That is when I lost my dear of 15 years, suddenly over 48 hours time. Since she was a lap cat, I had to find something that would fill the blank, empty space!

I've made some sales which is gravy on top, cause I wear ALL of what I make, See my work here: share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8AcNG7JozatFGa4
    By copy & paste.

I can relate, this year I've been too busy to garden, care for plants or do much of anything beyond survive.
Since my large order last year are crispy bits currently, I have used my 'wise sensei' mind and avoided the trap of 'I want' that smacks up against 'Don't have the time!!!'

But, we each have our 'therapy' and this last year, it has been beading!

Good to get back in contact with you, Deb. Hope your orchids are doing well, also. Tell Norma 'hi' for me!

Well, this would not include succulents or that large crepe myrtle I bought and had planted or all the other plants I bought. I've spent about $100. And that is more than I thought I'd spend since I was thinking I was maxed out for the time being. hehe

Hey Cena! Long time no see. Glad to see your still around too!
I had a look at your bead gallery and my oh my! They are lovely! Your presentation for each was excellent and unique!
I know what you mean about your beads adding up. I got into making Victorian Headboard Lamps and really put out the bucks gathering up cloth and laces. Then I had to buy the lamp frames. I don't dare add up what that Christmas gifts project cost me that year! hahaha.
I try to think up or find a new craft project to try each year for Christmas gifts for plant friends and family.
1 year I did polymer clay fairies on decorative terra cotta flower pots. They turned out really cute and everyone loved them.
Lets face it,,,nothings cheap to make, do or grow anymore! haha.
My orchids are doing great and I still collect them! I mostly grow the miniature and micro-mini types.
Good to hear from you! Happy growing and beading!,,,Debbie
