Cheers! What a great feeling to be checked out by a hummingbird. Sometimes I could swear I can feel the wind from their wings.

My goldflame has finally started to bloom...the hummers haven't found it yet that I've seen. My pineapple sage has also been hit several times, and the phygelius I've tried out seems to be a good one too. They usually get to my feeders last, if at all. Sometimes nature's nectar is enough (which is the way it should be, I guess!).

That's great. My guys have been around more lately too. I love when they inspect us so closely. One even inspected my big dog that way. She was laying out back and the hummer got right in her face and stayed there just staring in her eyes. You must live close to us. Our address is Coopersburg but we're in Bucks County, not Lehigh. What a great feeling. Yes, I would say that is serious when they check you out that way instead of just flying away . It sounds like you have some homesteaders there, serious!! That hasnt happened here, although one curious male was dancing in my flowers two days ago going from my stampede cherry series to my dianthera to my david verity. I do not have anything close to a regular yet.

After that one big night, almost nothing. I decided to sit out with my camera Monday night. I didn't even see one. Now my Black and Blue Salvia and the Mandarin Honeysuckle are blooming right next to the Agastache and Lady In Red Salvia. They must be busy with breeding chores.
