I am not much for Daylillies and hummers. I have one very large one but my hummers never use it.

As far as fucshia goes, I have had the best luck with the Gartenmeister Bonstedt. It does very well in hanging baskets, or large patio pots.

I have loads of daylilies and never noticed a hummer feeding from one. I have a bunch of those orange ditchlilies directly under one feeder, and still, nothing. I've only had one fuschia over the last 2 years (it overwintered), but I can't remember a thing about it. It wasn't visited that often, despite being located right behind the feeder.

If you haven't tried the upright single flowered Gartenmeister Bonsted Fuchsia then you shoul. My first fuchsia was the one that trails and hs the bulbous flower at the base and they never used those but the upright one that has flowers similar in color and shape to the coral honeysuckle they used quite a bit.

I actually overwintered my fuschia from 2 years ago last year, but I think the late cold snap did it in, even though it was indoors in my florida room. The tag did indeed say Gartenmeister. I'll be going back to the nursery I purchased it at; hopefully they'll have it again. I believe it was a corally pinkish color. It had cost $20. Jumping the gun, I came across those bulbous flowered fuschias at Kmart for $11. I grabbed them as fast as I could. It only hit me when I got home; duh, that's not the right one stupid! At least the #$&@* squirrels are enjoying them...

Gartenmeister Bonstedt is the most commonly found of the Triphylla group of Fuschias. 'Mary' is another, a red, and is also effective. They seem to work best if up high, such as in a hanging basket.

Tracy, You shouldn't have a problem finding one at a local nursery.
