Hummingbird Garden

My FIRST Hummer!

I have tried for years to attract hummers with no luck even with all sorts of plants popular to hummers, and have feeders up. This evening my husband called me to the kitchen window to show me a lovely hummer at one of my feeders! My FIRST!!! Woo Hoo! I am so excited!

I am really happy for you. What part of the country are you in? I remember that my Mom only had one or two birds every year. She would hang her one feeder from a Mimosa tree that she had to water constantly to keep it alive out in west Texas. Don't know what kind of bird or birds, but I am sure it had a red throat. We loved that bird.
