Wasps can be a pain thats for sure . But it shouldnt be that big of problem. I have had wasps here competing with hummers for the sugar water. It will help to have multiple feeders and maybe one feeder that is saucer style that wont lure the wasps as bad. Also you can try moving your feeders around in your yard as wasps are not very smart in refinding a feeder. Also you can reduce the strength of the sugar water or possibly leave a bowl of high sugar water away from the feeders.

I wish I knew the answer to this. I've been invaded by some super wasps I've never seen before. These flee the feeder when I get within 6 feet of it, and they fly far away, very fast, and don't come back for several minutes. With ordinary paper wasps, I was often able to chase them away with a broom and spray them once they got a few feet away from the feeder, and well below it. But not these new ones. I just might try the decoy bowl suggestion.

I did it I got the wasps! I filled a spray bottle with soapy water and every chance I got I sprayed them! I replaced the water in my ant moat with soapy water so it repells waps. One was in the birdbath and I hit it with a size 13 shoe and knocked it into the water where it drowned in only 5 seconds!
