So many of us are experiencing a decline in our hummer population and can't figure out why..I have only two, a male and female RT and usually I have about a dozen or more, at least in mid-June...very unusual!!!!

I'm in Dallas, Texas. I've seen only on RT this year, as well. I have feeders, plants and a water source. This yard is very shady, though. Could too many trees and shrubs be a contributing problem? My California garden (Oakland) was full of hummers. I even had nests. I miss the activity.
