Hummerlover, I wish I could, as they have increased my sugar bill tremendously. I counted 17 on my 10'X10' back porch this morning, with at least 20 waiting to battle, on my fences. BTW, thank you for the welcome. I wish I could trade you some rain for a few tiny warriors. My flowers are not doing well. Tiger lily blooms are scarce this year, although my morning glories are thriving and the wild honeysuckle seems to be doing well.

I`m sorry to hear about your high sugar bill., also sorry
to hear about the lack of rain.It just rained a few days
ago but there has not been alot of rain here either.
How much nectar do you go through? I think some people
are not seeing very many hummers this year. Are all
of your hummers the same type? I`ve had a couple different
ones sharing the feeder is this usual behavior?

Hi, Dan, I am Nancy live in Warsaw, MO. Know what you mean about the sugar bill, have gone thru 10 lbs since Saturday and have started on the second 10, the hummers are hungry. They are also working over the flowers as well.

Hi, Nancy! Hummerlover, as far as I know, all hummers I have even seen in NW Louisiana are ruby-throated. Once in Little Rock, Ark. I saw a strange looking bird in a coutyard at night at a restaurant, but it could have been the effect of the lights.

Hi,Dan! Have you got any rain yet?Do you have more than one feeder? That`s alot of sugar to go through.I`m still
trying to figure out if the hummers are male or female,
that are coming to my feeder. They are definitely babies ,
They are so small they can`t reach the ladder, they fly in for drinks and almost any little noise scares them.
The pictures of your hummers are beautiful.
