I Have A Calliope In My Yard!

I have just added my 3rd feeder to may yard late last week. I have hung this last one right in front of my window. None of my hummies have used it yet, as it is very close to the house - and the others are not.

At about 5 p.m. yesterday my hubby and I were watching this feeder close to the window and this little hummie landed on the perch and as he was drinking from it I noticed the VERY clear sharp reddish-purple streaks of feathers down his neck. I also noticed how very short this bird was compared to the broadtails size. I think I have been visited by a CALLIOPE! Just wanted to share this wonderful news with you guys.
