Hummingbird Garden

Wasps are using my feeder

The wasps are using my feeder , Should I be concerned ?The hummingbirds are still coming , but it is bugging me and there is quite a few of them . One by accident probably saw the feeder and now I think I have part of the colony visiting the feeder.It must taste pretty good.

My feeders have the same problem only it's honey bees. There's probably 50-100 of them on there. I had to take it down. I am in SC, I think our winter was too mild last year....

Do you really think I should take It down ? I really would like to keep my feeder up , I`m getting alot of visits.This is exciting for me and my kids including my 15 month old baby.He gets very quiet and smiles when he sees the birds. If I could figure out where the wasps are coming from maybe I could spray.I dont have 50-100.Knock on wood.I`m sorry for you having to take your feeder down.

If the hummers are able to feed without being bothered by the wasps, then I wouldn't take it down.
