Hi Mimidi,

Are you able to resize your photos before you send them to Photobucket? Their system resizes large images automatically & I'm guessing that's the source of your problem. If you can get your photo size down to approx 400 X 600 MB before sending, that might fix the problem. Otherwise, maybe read their "Image Hosting Tutorials" and/or send them a note for assistance through their "Contact" button.

Congrats on the agastache x 'Ava'. I've got my eyes on that one for next year.

Thanks Patrick. I have a Kodac Easy Share and when I save a picture to file I choose to save "best for web". This had worked great until a month or so ago. The problem is only with Photobucket. Will try to contact them and see if they can help me with my problem.

I came this close to ordering that plant this spring. Please let us know how it comes through the winter. You do have a kind of winter, don't you?

Yes we do have some winter. Not too much thought. Now that being said this winter will probably be terible.

It has grown to 40 inches tall and 27 inches wide. These pictures don't tell you much.

Wow your looks great mimidi! Mine is half that size and very floppy Plus I thought it was supposed to grow taller and I put all the way back in the corner. I took pictures since I thought you couldn't post yours But your pictures look great! Here's mine.

Thanks Sarah. You can tell the color much better in your pictures. Mine hasn't gotten floppy.

Mine looks like Mimidi's. Very vigorous even though my 3 y.o. stepped on it when it was small. I'm happy with that one and Shades of Orange. But Desert Sunrise is only about a foot tall and hasn't started blooming yet, even though it's next to the other two. It does have buds so I should see what the flowers look like in a week or so. More fish emulsion, maybe?

They are so wispy I think they would benefit from a solid contrasting background, esp. the S. of O. - a cobalt painted wall would do nice in the desert. Ava's color carries better. I am thinking of backing them up with sedum Autumn Joy, or the wide pleated leaves of crocosmia Lucifer which is really doing magnificently with all the rain.

Did you feed your ava fish emulsion? Maybe that's what mine needs. Sarah

I don't. Used a little Shake and Feed Miracle Grow in March but nothing since then. I believe that I got my 'Ava' in May.

Thanks to both of you for the photos. And Lisa, it has been a super year for crocosmia. There must be 70 blooming stalks on a patch out front right now. The hummingbirds have gone off their rockers. My only gripe with lucifer is that it doesn't bloom all that long, but at least the spent stalks continue to look good all season, as do the leaves.
