Are wasp traps a danger to hummers?

So we built a patio..talk about sweat equity. Gah! Although I was mostly the Foreman..anyways..

So that leaves me to now want to put up a wasp/bee/hornet etc trap. You know the pretty glass kind... Do those pose any danger to hummers at all? Like will the humer want to inestigate and get trapped in the bottle with the stingers or am I being silly?

Also, it has also been my perception that those traps attract more than they trap and are a waste of money. Is that true?
