Yeah, I would I agree . We see the most activity in the early parts of the morning, then again in the evening . I do however do see them on the hot days , just a hour or so closer to sunset.

I have my feeders out every year.I was thinking there doesn't seem to be as many this year here????

Several people have been saying that, bulldinkle. My feeders weren't up this time last year, but I've been seeing them at least twice a day up to 5-6 times a day nearly every day, all thru June and July. Have seen two at once a couple of times.

In August there were more.
