Today I witnessed a ruby throat Hummer landing on my back deck floor arching it's head backwards in a arch, bill pointed straight up at 90 degrees with wings out. Would sit in the sun for maybe a minute or two then fly back up in the tree by the feeder. I saw this happen twice! What in the world was going on??
