Ruth: Well, in the past few years California has been in drought conditions. We've been here 4 years and this is the worst it's been, but the old timers tell us this is how it's supposed to be during this time of year.

Great pictures. How is it that if I get more than one hummingbird, they just chase each other off? Yours seem to co-exist in harmony. Different species - different habits? Or are they just used to crowded conditions?

Yes, wonderful pictures. Like Harryshoe, I also am curious as to how you manage to have so many visitors at your feeders. My visitors are one at a time too, if another shows up, they end up chasing each other away.

LOL, I have the exact same questions as Harryshoe & rouan. :-) I've often wondered that myself, although I imagine with SO many that they just choose/have to coexist...?
