Saucer style feeders like the Humzinger don't leak. I also have one by First nature that is a bottle style but the ports are on top of the base like the saucer feeders rather than on the side and it doesn't leak.

When I first got my window feedr, I had a dripping problem. But I tried gently pushing down on the little flower ports that were dripping and they stopped. I guess they were a little loose. Now every time I fill it I make sure they are pushed down tight.
I also had a small bottle feedr that looked really cute...well that dripped so bad I couldn't use it. It went right in the trash!
Now I'm afraid to buy a feedr that has a tube with a port on the end for fear of leakage.

My feeders are not leaking from the flowers but from the bottom. Most of my feeders have bottoms that come apart for cleaning. They are made so you can put a coin or knife in the little opening and it comes apart. This is where it is leaking. What I was thinking about was gluing them on with some aquarium cement so they would not leak. I see some feeders that do not come apart for cleaning on the bottoms so I am assuming that it does not matter if I clean the inside of them. Does anyone have any opinions on whether it is necessary to clean the bottom inside of the feeder bottom where the flowers are? I always use a brush to clean the bottle part.

Plantsnipper yes it is important to be able to clean the bottom as mold can grow in any crevices inside the base. If you prefer the bottle style feeders, then there is one made by First Nature. The base snaps apart and the whole base unscrews from the bottle so it comes apart three ways and is very easy to clean the whole thing and refill it and it doesn't leak. They are sold at the following retailers:
Walmart, Meijers, Petco, Academy, Tractor Supply, Unimark, Nations Best Sports, Faber Brothers, Ace Hardware, Bird WatcherÂs General Store, Wild Birds Unlimited, Backyard Birds and Backyard Naturalist. They have a 16 ounce and a 24 ounce I think and both are less than $5.00.

I have one of their feeders as I like to have both bottle and saucer feeders and my hummers use that feeder more than the other bottle feeder I have which will be retired after this season or as soon as I can get my hands on another First Nature feeder.
