My hummingbird feeder gets the afternoon sun which is quite hot. The solution in the feeder is very hot when I test it on my wrist. My neighbor says she has three feeders in the sun and the birds still drink from it. I would think that the solution would be too hot for them and that the feeders should be in the shade. What are people's experiences with this?
