Oh my God! I clicked on the picture and ads came up! They have embedded ads in our pictures! This is war!

Not only ads but ads for Porn.
The ads change each time you click on the picture.

Disgusting.
What have you done, Spike, what have you done?

That's an amazing close-up, I have a brand new 4.1MP camera with 10.8x zoom and still haven't obtained fast enough shutter speeds to get a photo that nice.

I didn't see any embedded ads, but there were four non-intrusive links to ads at the top of the page, probably courtesy of the photo hosting site, not Garden Web. If you're getting pop-ups, you can install Firefox for free and the default settings won't load them.

The ads for porn were at the bottom of the page.
I never have gotten any pop ups here.

Oh geez! I see it! OMG OMG OMG, I feel so violated! How could they do that- especially PORN. I mean, I would understand it- but not love it either- if it were related things, but man oh man, that is nasty!

I just scrolled down and saw the nasty porn ads. We should definately prostes this, it's ridiculous, digusting and highly insulting. How dare they do this to paid subscribers.

I'm up for any protest!

I think dpallas is correct that those ads are from the photo hosting site dakster used, not gardenweb.

anyway, focus: great picture, dakster, thank you. I'm glad he followed his preferred feeder up closer to the house so you can see him better!

Just switch over to using Photobucket;no ads there and it's free.
Upload your image,then Copy and Paste the 'Tag' into your message here.

I second the vote for Photobucket---I've been using it for a year and I LOVE it and am constantly recommending it to others.

I agree that subjecting us paying members to these embedded ads is just disgusting, however the ads on the original poster's photo link are from his photo-hosting site, not from Gardenweb....

If it is from something other the Garden Web, then the
porn ads weren't due to anything they did.

What if dakster deleted the photo, would the ads still be there? They wouldn't, would they?
If there is no picture to click on.
There are kids that use these sites for projects, information and such pertaining to school.

To answer the question about phone numbers.
No numbers yet. Been out since this morning and

I'll third (or fourth..? lost count) the suggestion for Photobucket. Love it.

Photobucket is good I use them on bobky's recomendation. I was out most of the day too. Sarah
