This is my first post, and I'm curious what others think about hummingbird behavior. I have one adult male that spends many hours every day in my ornamental pear tree. He sits in the exact same spot every day, many times a day. He is obviously guarding "his" territory, and keeping the other hummingbirds from "his" feeder. This is my first year feeding these guys, and I am already up to five feeders, out of sight of each other, to help ease the fighting over the food sources. However, this particular feeder seems to be a favorite, and this tiny guy dive bombs the other hummingbirds whenever they get near it.
