No Sarah, she lives in Texas. She said she sent the picture to a expert who said it is a immature rufus but couldn't tell the sex.

There's no way to tell the sex of this bird. You can't even be certain of the species since there is a remote chance it is an Allen's Hummingbird. Such birds must be caught and measured.

HI, I took the picture 8 miles north of Waco,Texas. There is no record of an Allen's near this area ever. Yesterday I took more photos and after reviewing them on the computer I saw that I have three different Rufous! I have six feeders up now and there is a constant war going on ! If someone call tell me how to post photos on here I can share some !

Hi poehaven, bobky is the picture expert but to post picture you need to have an account with photobucket then load your pictures onto photobucket then insert the whole tag copy and paste into your message. Birdlegs, the heavy "five-o'clock shadow" and amount of rufous visible around the back end suggest an immature male, but confirming that would require a better look at the tail and/or gorget. On the species issue, wardw's correct that there's not enough in this photo to confirm Rufous and eliminate the remote possibility of Allen's (which is almost certainly reported east of California less often than it actually occurs due to its similarity to Rufous).
