Pitcher plants and hummingbirds

I'm thinking of placing a hanging basket pitcher plant about 3-4 yards from the hummingbird feeders. I don't want the hummingbirds to get eaten by it though. Is it safe to put this plant this close to the feeders or should I place it in a completely different area?
