Two new hummer videos

First is of hummer on my new ginger (got it at plant swap this year and this is the first time it's bloomed)

Second is of feisty little guy preening and then flaring when he hears/sees an intruder

Enjoy :-) These are going to come in handy this winter :-\ Although I'm hoping some winter migration vagrants find my yard and keep me company. From what I've read there is hope that RTHB may stay, or rufous or black-chinned my find me... Fingers crossed!

Love the one of it preening. The bright flashes of the gorget were beautiful. Maybe my little juvies will stop by on their way south.

Love your hummer videos!

I wish my ginger plants would keep so many flowers blooming at once as yours do. The Dallas Arboretum manages it, but their ginger plants have their feet practically in the water of a little brook and they have misters that go off every 10 or 15 minutes to keep the humidity up. Their fragrance is so wonderful -- as potent as gardenias and sambac jasmine.
