Sounds interesting If I were using these , I would be breeding the largest possible hard shelled gourd . Good Luck.

Well we've already decided to keep the seeds of the biggest and the best, however I'm sure we'll get a good bit of " mystery" in it as well.. Gourds have become our "hobby" and seeing whatever comes of it will be the fun.. Worse case senario I just go buy new seeds one spring.. (Gourd seeds are CHEAP)

It will be interesting to see how the worlds longest gourd combines with the largest gourd .

I'm very curious as to see the outcome of some of the long handled dippers and the bushel gourd crosses. My "theory" is that a "banjo" shaped gourd could be produced. Cut down the center lengthwise, it would create the backside of a stringed instrument. As big as some of the giant bushel gourds get, matched with the 10ft super long gourds.. Heck you could grow a kayak gourd. Grow,Dry,Hollow, and Paddle.
