Diane, I have heard they are gone from up there. They are still here in the south but not like it was. Only juvies, or maybe some that are migrating. I get about 4 or 5 daily. It is turning a little cooler at night here -50's, in the low 80's during the day. Maybe next year... :-)Ellen

I still have one adult pair and a juvenille female in my yard in central Minnesota. And it's been in the low 40's the last couple of nites. This was taken last nite. I can't imagine they will be here much longer.

Diane--Im surprised you havent gotten any replies from fellow Okla. residents. But Im sorta in the same boat. Ive had one visit in the last five days that I know of. It could be the same for you. You could be having visitors and not be aware of it. For the migrator that I had stopped in for 1minute then flew off in a southerly direction, imagine that. Im only guessing, but I would think that the migrators [at least some of them] would have to pass thru part of your state. Main thing is to leave your feeders up for awhile just in case and you never know what might happen. One thing for sure what we enjoyed during the warm months is definately over, but they will be back next march/april-

eastern Iowa here.. The hummer that has been on my feeder, sitting in a shrub by my front porch had been missing for 2 days..thought she was gone for the year..then yesterday I spotted her on the feeder and this morning on the butterfly bush next to the feeder.. I cleaned the feeder again and added warmed fresh sugar solution... maybe she stopped by to say goodbye..;-) I'll miss seeing this captivating little bird over the winter.. I hope she is ok as she migrates towards warmer weather..makes me kind of sad.

Serenity_Rose--I agree totally , its sad to see them go and you would like to keep them here longer, but its a drive stronger than anything we can imagine. Plus they will be warmer and more comfortable and safer at destinations end. So be happy for them and as you say ,wish them a safe journey. I would also like to feel that they[the same birds] know where they were and cared for before they left and will return in the spring to the same spot. Dreamer and Romantic that I am---Steve
