I havent had hummers at my feeders for about 10 days now, but I and my sister were at a nearby reservoir for a few days camping and fishing. While we were out on the boat , while my sister was standing and fiddling with her red bobber , here comes this female ruby throat, fluttering around her. She didnt see it , kinda scared her , but I saw it and told her it was a hummer. I was also surprised for I thought hummers were completely gone from this area. It is about 25mi south of where I live. Another nice thing is we saw two different bald eagles, while we were boating the lake. We usually do see one when we are there . We usually do that 2 or 3 times a summer.
