fill em with rockwool or pea gravel should slow the lfow a bit. or put a clamp on the hose from the pump to slow the flow there.

On the flow of nutrients, use a timer. Set the interval depending on the type of growing medium you will use and the plant requirements.

hi, not sure what type of pump you are using, but even our pond/fish tank pumps have valves to adjust the flo of water. im not sure if it would meet your requirements or if that was what you were using, and it was still to much. im not expierienced in hydro, just interested. the clamp and p gravel thing sounds like it should work too.

If you can install a bypass valve in the line (still in your nutrient tank but above the nutrient level) you can use it to adjust the overall flow for the main line. You can then install a valve on each (or the one) feed line to your NFT trays. You then adjust all of the valves until you get the flow you want in each tray. In addition the bypass flow going back into the nutrient adds a bit more aeration to your system.

Although a lot of people use them a flat bottom channel is best for NFT. The thin film needed for NFT is impossible to get with a curved bottom.
