Any Success in Eliminating Cyclamen Mites?

Hi

I've 8 seedlings of impatiens and several of them are showing up curled leaves which I believe it to be due to cyclamen mite infestations. I have sprayed several times with Avid, but it does not seem to help as within days the new leaves start curling up again. How do I successfully get rid of cyclamen mites? Do I have to snip off all the shoots and flower buds before spraying? But these seedlings are barely 3 inches tall!

I'm not sure about cyclamen mites, but the common bedding impatiens are very prone to spider mites. The symptoms would be mottling of the new leaves, wilting, eventually visible fine webbing. High humidity helps to control. I use malathion if they start to cause damage.

Make sure you positively identify mites before you spray. Your symptoms could be caused by a disease or other pest.
