successful transplant

I had to transplant a hydrangea (cone shaped blooms that go from white to pink, name escapes me) I had not planned on. Poor thing only had to move about three feet. I had to move it two years ago too. It was fully dormant still. I am happy to say it is now budding out! I am releaved, to say the least. Also I wanted to add to my Annabells and have had little success getting them to root. I took a spade to the shoots on the outside of one of them. I planted two groups in other parts of the yard. I am happy to report they too are both budding out. The endless summer got zapped by frost. The buds on the old growth are all dead, but it is coming up from the ground. Your posts on the ease of propagating and dividing hydrangea's gave me courage. Thank-you!!
