It could be a sign of too much water but be careful not to overdo it. Daily waterings seems a lot to me. Water only when the soil feels dry (or almost dry) to a depth of 4" in the pot.

Add about 3" of acidic mulch to the plant to conserve soil moisture as much as possible. Then locate the plant away from places where it gets a lot of drying winds or too much drying sun. Plant the shrub slightly above the surrounding soil and watch out for roots that circle the pot. And protect the sides of the container from too much direct sun as roots nearby could dry out.

Fertilizing a stressed plant is not a good idea. Besides, hydrangeas are not big feeders like roses. In the ground, you fertilize once a year (on the month of June, if that gives you an idea of how much fertilization they require) in the northern states. Coffee grounds are ok but quit around August if you plan to leave the plant outisde during winter and require that it go dormant. Use a slow-release fertilizer once a month or so during the growing season.

Excessive watering can start root rot, a fungal disease of the roots whose symptoms resemble lack of water because the affected roots cannot channel water to the shrub. So try to water when the soil feels almost dry.

Wilting is a common problem during the first year in the garden. It too should be treated in the same way. That is, water when the top soil feels almost dry. A bad wilting episode does require immediate watering but otherwise, plants with soil moisture tend to recover by bed time or next morning. If not recovered by next morning then water it a little.
