I bought some impatiens and overwintered them indoors, as soon as it warmed up I put the pot outside in a shady spot. The blooms USED to have a white star pattern on them but after a month I'm getting plain, solid colored blooms. The tree(redbud) that shades them has leafed out a lot and the branches are forming and umbrella. Too much shade? need fertilizer? How do I get the star pattern back? Any suggestions welcome!
