My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
An earlier post on this site stated that it was about to be introduced and then pulled back because of lack of performance. Take it for what it's worth. I do know that the Endless Summer website makes no mention of it and they are now heavily pushing 'ES Blushing Bride'. A reblooming lacecap would be nice though....yg
HI! I purchased three in the fall of last year. All three made it through the winter just fine with no winter protection but mulch. The foliage looks good and is beautiful. I have seen no signs of blooms yet. I am impressed with how well they have done, although we did have a pretty mild winter.
I received one of the original eclipse hydrangeas from Bailey nursery three years ago. It was going to be released but a dna test was done and found no ES parentage. It is realy puzzling the growers since no other var. hydrangeas were at the nursery. It was a sport found in cutting beds of ES hyd. It is currently being grown by several wholesalers and the name has changed to Lite-O-Day. I was also working it into production at the nursery I managed but have had problems with over wintering and the cosistency of the var. Mine has made it through several winters but has been atacked by rabbits numerous times. I have seen thousands of these in greenhouses and they are amazing.
Hey there Lee! Since you have been nearby to many of these plants (Lite-O-Day/Eclipse) would you mind writing us about what is so amazing about them? No hydrangea plants are available in the market place in my area yet; probably too cold or were greenhouse forced or whatever. Where will they be located, what color are they and how tall do they grow? Thanks.
