Sounds as if deer are munching on your plants. Bunnies could be culprits but they normally affect the bottom part of the shrub only. Some of theses pests like to visit at night so you may want to have a flashlight handy and touch base with neighbors to see if someone has already identified the pest.

I agree with luis...sounds like deer. Pesticides won't help, but Liquid
Fence, or similar product, will. Spray now and then once a week for a few weeks. You'll have to keep up with the spraying until the deer break their routine.
