I have some columbine setting buds. I've had tulips for about 4 weeks. There are more getting ready to bloom. The lilacs are about half opened. Violas are in solid bloom. Bleeding Heart for a few weeks now. Primrose and Berdenia also blooming. Flax have set buds. Also some of the Clematis are in bud. Oh yea and the dandelions are in FULL Bloom!LOL

Wild Columbine are blooming, cultivated type (blue) are showing color in the buds.
Pansys (last year's) are blooming.
Lilacs & tulips are finishing their show.
Iris have big fat buds.
Tree peony buds show color, but isn't quite open yet.
Fern peonies opened late last week.

I have to agree, though, that the garden is mostly green, green, green. For that reason, I've added some plants with bold foliage - creeping jenny and some hosta with varigated or not-green foliage.

However, by tomorrow morning, it may be a question of What's left?

Actually, we're in a bit of a break right now in my garden.

Dwarf iris is nearly finished.

Still a few tulips and Grape Hyacinths.

Dicentra 'Gold Heart' is nearly done blooming, but the bright gold foliage is great through most of the season.

Fernleaf Bleeding Hearts are starting.

The Dutchman's Breeches, Blood Root, and Hepatica are done.

Virginia Bluebells are in full swing.

Violas are a sea of purple.

Creeping phlox is covered with flowers.

Primula kisoana is blooming.

Prairie Smoke is doing its thing.

The Red Bud has been covered with flowers for about a week or better.

Brunnera is pretty well finished.

The Trilliums hadn't opened last I checked.

Tiarellas and Heucherellas are budded.

Shooting Star is up, but no buds, yet.

Much of my garden is shade, as you can tell from the plants listed, and focused on foliage. The hostas are way ahead of schedule and as a result, most of them froze this past week. The few that didn't may after tonight. Arrgggggg...

oh I forgot the forget -me-nots! lol!

If your brunnera has bloomed then I guess mine is dead as it hasn't come up. That's too bad- it was new last fall.

I'm going to have to look up a few- I've never heard of some of them...
