As far as I know only the state of Montana has a certification for IPM.

As it is now, anyone who can afford a sprayer, and pass a pesticide applicator test can claim that they know about and practice IPM.

The applicator tests are ridiculously easy to pass, and though they are now incorporating IPM they are mostly geared toward the safe and proper use of pesticides.

The arborists have a certification and though not a government agency, it is generally recognized as legitimate.

I think it is time for us to have a nationally recognized IPM certification.

I would prefer this to be a government certification but I know how most Americans feel about government.
