Dahlia's

I just purchased, very resonable, 2 potted Dahlia's and have no idea on how to take care of them. Do I plant them now and let them winter over in the garden, or do I just leave them in the pot and try to winter them over til next year? I've never worked with Dahlia's and wanted to try it.Thanks for any input.

Leave them in the pot. Dahlia's are not Perennial to our zone so they will have to be taken in. I'd take them out of the pot before frost and store them. The tubulars have to be kept in a cool dry place. Here's a good sorce to learn more.
