I've become very interested in shade gardening and with that of course Hostas. I live in the Cedar Rapids area. I was wondering if there are any Hosta gardening organizations or public gardens in the area.

I'm also looking for a small ornamental type tree for a shade area next to my porch. Any suggestions for something that meets that criteria for our climate.
