Help!

I love plants, maybe too much. It's like a jungle here in the summertime as the beds have reseeded & filled out, some are by the house. There's also mature shrubs. I guess spiders like them too and I really hate spiders. There all all types & sizes of spiders, webs everywhere - railings , patio, porch, shed, in or under furniture, sometimes we even walk into a web. They're in the house too. It's really creeping me out. Is this common & should I pull out the plants :(
