Odd Batik?

I grow Batik & a few other streaked ones, several are pretty new & I haven't seen bloom yet. A few weeks ago Batik bloomed, here is a picture

Gnus Flash recently bloomed, right in the middle of the clump is one that is different, maybe Batik?

What do you think? The 1st one looked very blue in person just like the picture. It even surprised me because it was more blue than I remembered. The 2nd picture is purple. Sometimes I think my plants have a sense of humor, a nasty sense of humor intended to drive me crazy :)

When I have seen Batik it's been deep purple. I have read from knowledgeable people that broken colors tend to have unstable genes.
But these two are totally different in color. Maybe you can isolate the purple one and see what it does next year.

I've had Batik several years, but it has been a sporadic bloomer, not in a good spot for one thing, then I moved it & it sulked there too. I've not really seen that many blooms so I can't remember just what it looked like. I didn't move Batik last year, I did move Gnus Flash. The 2 are no where near the same area, so I don't know how this could have gotten mixed in if it should be Batik. Eerie things happen in my garden though. I'll try to separate this one.
