Hydrangea Selection Advice?

I would really like to plant a hedge of hydrangeas in my backyard against a wooded area. I have many wild oakleaf hydrangeas in the brush. In the front yard, I have an endless summer, a blue lace cap of some variety, and an old one that came with the house; I suspect a Nikko Blue, all are doing well.

Can anyone give me suggestions of what would be the most effective way to put together an absolutely stunning hedge? I live in a fairly rural area, where most people landscape with ornamental trees, rather than shrubs or perennials (all lots are at least an acre), so anything would be different, but I want to go for the "wow" ( and keep the brush from creeping into my yard).

My first thought is just to use "Endless Summer" after last year's late frost, but frankly, I don't want to spend that much money.

So, if anyone has time to help, could you please suggest the following:

1) economical, dependable, heavy bloomers suitable for hedging. (I would love blue, but am also considering maybe an "Annabelle" hedge?)

2) whether it would be more effective to use all the same varieties, or to use a variety of colors, textures or heights.

3) recommendations for a reputable and reasonable supplier.

I know it's a lot of questions, so if no one has time, I understand.

Thanks in advance,

Joy
